Great news! STOP FILMING US, by Joris Postema won the DUTCH MOVIES MATTER AWARD at Movies that Matter 2020.

“Beautiful images and captivating dialogues have made for a fresh approach to a tricky topic. It is a multi-layered film with fantastic characters whom we get to know intimately in the most genuine way”, according to the MtM jury. They describe Stop Filming Us as important contribution to the crucial discussion about Western filmmaking and neo-colonialism on the African continent. It is a bit ironic to win this award with a film about imaging and perspectives without being seen. Therefore we decided to release the film online on the 2nd of April.
